Arranging the funeral.

In order to conduct the funeral for you, we need to acquire a significant amount of information. Some of that information is needed to satisfy legal requirements associated with a person's death. We will ask you to advise us of your wishes regarding:

• Your choice of burial or cremation.

• Whether you wish the funeral to be held at a church, our chapel, a crematorium or at a graveside.

• Your choice of clergy or, if you wish, we will arrange one for you.

• The content of the funeral notice to be published in a newspaper should you choose to insert one. We will help you draft the notice and place it in the newspaper on your behalf.

• The type of coffin or casket you require. You are able to select from a large range designed to satisfy people from all walks of life.

Additional options you may wish to consider.

Our chapel

Should you choose a service in our chapel, we are able to offer a range of choices to help you prepare a meaningful funeral service.

For those overseas or interstate or people who are unable to attend the funeral, we can, by using webcam technology, broadcast the funeral service on the internet as it occurs. Access to view the funeral service on the internet is controlled by a password given to the family.

Our audio-visual presentation "Reflections of a Life" can be created from a number of photographs, newspaper clippings as well as home video footage that you provide to us and be played as part of the funeral service. It is then projected onto a screen at appropriate intervals while your favourite music plays softly in the background. "Reflections of a Life" is then yours to have as a keepsake.

You can if you wish choose to keep a record of the funeral service by having us record it on your choice of audio cassette tape, video-tape or dvd.

A family video or a favourite piece of music can also be played for you as part of the funeral service.

Other Venues

"Reflections of a Life", a family video or a favourite piece of music can, if required, be played for you at other venues such as churches.

Printed Material

We are able to create and print for you a range of personalised support material for the funeral service. Orders of Service, Bookmarks and Thank-you cards can, if required, be personalised with a photograph of your loved one.

We are your agents, therefore we ask you to tell us exactly what your wishes are.

Our job as funeral directors is to help you prepare a personalised and meaningful funeral service and to then carry out your wishes in the best possible professional manner.

If possible, tailor the funeral service to suit the person who has passed away. If there are organisations to which the deceased belonged, you may like to invite them to take part in the service. A eulogy encompassing the life of the deceased and read at the funeral service by a family member will always add a warm touch to any funeral service.

Hymns are always appropriate, but if you prefer, you could have a special piece of music played that was a favourite of the deceased, just to add that personal touch.
